WARNING: This post is a long read, but I go into detail about the various experiments I have on the go. There is no special new method, technique, tip or hack in this post. The purpose of this post is to remind people that there are no quick rich schemes and like in life, you have to work hard and pay your dues to make it.
I begun this journey a week ago with intention of getting to $10 per day as the first stepping stone. That's low enough and easy right?
Up until a week ago, I didn't know forums like the blackhatworld.com (BHW) and thebot.net (TBN) existed. Both forums I discovered while reading r/beermoney. Both forums are packed with countless threads of tips, tricks, techniques and tactics regarding many different ways to make money online.
This kick started my journey, and I began to consume hours upon hours of forum threads. After spending a day reading, I decided to kickoff with a few experiments - how hard could it be? I was in for a rude awakening.
I am driven by my goal to generate income via automated methods. I started off focusing on low hanging fruit experiments and whether they can get me to my initial goal of $10 per day. With one week behind me, I have discovered even the low hanging fruit needs work and the rewards are minimal at best. However, if this was supposed to be easy then everyone would be doing it and getting rich.
In summary, I have 4 experiments on the go with only one being fully automated and the other 3 requiring manual effort
Website with Ads & Traffic Exchanges (TE)
Website
First thing I did was create this website where I can run ads and have TEs drive traffic to the site. I used the weebly platform, as the free WordPress site doesn't allow ads to be run on it. I have been impressed with the weebly platform - easy and simple to use. Did I mention free?
Ads
Second thing - find reliable ad providers that pay. I relied alot on the BHW and TBN forums for which ad providers to try. I also selected ad providers whose ads didn't slow my website down. Each ad provider I have provided my referral (helps me) and non-referral link. I leave the choice up to you.
Ad providers in green - testing/tested and running on website:
Ad providers in red - tested but not running on website due to aforementioned criteria not met:
Traffics Exchanges (TEs)
I have one Amazon VPS which I am running all the TEs on.
TEs in green - TEs have tested and will continue to use:
TEs in red - TEs tested but will not continue to use:
Stats
To put into perspective, I have spent +- 20 hours in setting up website, testing ads and TEs. So what has all the above effort resulted in?
Instagram (IG) account with a landing page offer
The focus of my other blog posts on this website have been discussing the progress I am making with my IG experiment so I will only provide a brief overview.
IG Account
As you can tell, it's early days for the IG account. I am doing everything manually - no bot being used to follow/unfollow people. I am tempted to build my own bot either via iMacros or Sikuli as I have some minor programming experience, but this is not high on the priority list. I am enjoy the content I am posting - food for the soul as they say :)
OGAds
The theory is when people hit my landing page on my website, they will be presented with a freebie (a motivational image I created that they can use) and a link to the OGAds landing page. I haven't received any clicks hence why its still a theory. I could put this down to only having 100 followers on IG. Will see if this changes as I grow the IG account.
Stats
I have spent +- 5 hours setting up this experiment. The longest aspect is the scraping and creating of IG photos and the manual scheduling of IG posts.
Hashocean Bitcoin cloud mining
I have invested into Hashocean (referral, non-referral) and currently have 55 KH/s (paid for 40 KH/s, received free 15 KH/s when I signed up for a new account) under power.
To be honest, the whole cloud mining scene seems like a ponzi scheme/scam. No legitimate investment vehicle offers you a return of 45%, but Hashocean seems to be gaining in popularity and the user count keeps on growing daily. So curiosity got the better of me and I have invested minimally ($20) and happy to ride the wave until I am able to pull my original investment out. According to its repayment page, I should get my original investment back after 63 days.
Stats
This experiment is fully automated and thus I have invested minimal time into setting it up (<1 hr).
Paid to Click (PTC)
This was the first thing I tried when I first starting to search how to earn money online. I am using BTCClicks (referral, non-referral). The premise is that you are paid to surf websites and view their ads for a specified time duration. The pay is minimal 0.025mbtc daily based on clicking an average of 21-25 pages.
There is a bot for the site, but I didn't have much luck with running it due to antivirus and malware software kept flagging it. I also tried to run the bot on my Amazon VPS with no luck.
Stats
This experiment is fully manual and I only use it when I am watching TV.
In Summary
I have a way to go to reach my initial goal of $10 per day, but its only been a week. I have learnt that even low hanging fruit experiments take time and effort for minimal ROI. Nonetheless, its been a good learning experience. Onwards and forwards!
Whats Next?
I plan to continue with the above experiments, but I want to aim higher and keep pushing to exceed past the $10 per day. Why not shoot for $100 or $200 per day?
I have absorbed a ton of information and struggling with information overload thus I am looking for guidance or mentoring on how to grow the above experiments or what to focus on next. I am motivated to succeed and want to make this a success. It is a journey and I will keep moving forward even if baby steps are necessary. Progress is progress :)
If you gotten this far. Thanks for reading and would appreciate a comment in any form.

Ad providers in green - testing/tested and running on website:
- A-ads (referral, non-referral) - unanimous choice of the majority of the community and countless threads dedicated to a-ads. They pay even though its minimal, but they accept traffic from TEs. At moment, testing out 3 different ads on the front page and blog posts.
- Propeller Ads Media (referral, non-referral) - one of the two popunder ads I have running on my site.
- Traffic2Bitcoin (referral, non-referral) - second popunder ad. They are new, and relatively not much information about them available.
- RevenueHits (referral, non-referral) - Another CPM ad network. Testing 3 different ads - a slider, footer and a shadow ad on the site.
Ad providers in red - tested but not running on website due to aforementioned criteria not met:
- Mellow Ads - rejected me twice due to not accepting weebly websites.
- DashAD and InfoLinks - rejected my site.
- Adhit, AdMashMedia and Admedia Tex - all of these providers' ads slowed my website down with their ad scripts.
- Blockadsz, CoinURL and bee-ads - I wasn't happy with the results of these ads, even though they were receiving impressions, no money was being earned.
Traffics Exchanges (TEs)
I have one Amazon VPS which I am running all the TEs on.
TEs in green - TEs have tested and will continue to use:
- HitLeap (referral, non-referral) - unanimous favourite of community and I have found it easy to use. They have a desktop app which I am running my Amazon VPS.
- Otohits (referral, non-referral)
- Hit4Hit (referral, non-referral)
- HitSprint (referral, non-referral)
TEs in red - TEs tested but will not continue to use:
- EasyHits4U - a great platform, but only manual surfing option which I don't have time for.
- TeslaHits, BigHits4U, Klixion, AlexaSurfing and AlexaMaster - I had issues running their auto surfs and wasn't earning much credits.
Stats
To put into perspective, I have spent +- 20 hours in setting up website, testing ads and TEs. So what has all the above effort resulted in?
- Total Unique Visitors: 8766

Instagram (IG) account with a landing page offer
The focus of my other blog posts on this website have been discussing the progress I am making with my IG experiment so I will only provide a brief overview.
IG Account
- I started a motivational image/quote niche IG account.
- I am scraping images from imgur or creating them myself using Canva.
- I am manually scheduling posts using hootsuite - posting 4 times a day.
- I am tagging my posts with the following #hashtags:
- I try to put caption messages on most of the images I share and interact with users via comments or likes.
- I try to put a caption message to make it more real and authentic and interact with users via comments whenever a comment is posted.
- I have just passed the 100 followers mark.
- On average I get between 10-15 likes and 1 comment per post. Not the best engagement, but I am starting out and first time IG user.
OGAds
- I am using OGAds (referral, non-referral) who are a content-locking provider.
- On their site, I requested a landing page which will increase IG followers.
- I created a landing page on my website which I linked (using a shortened URL) to in my IG profile. The landing page has a link to the OGAds landing page which provides the locked content.
